I make recordings.

Many recordings are of the inspired songs of people around me, some are of my own songs, and some others accompany moving pictures.

I have been working in studios for the past fifteen years. Like most who do what I do, much of those first few years was spent getting take-out, sweeping floors, answering phones, and putting microphones where other people wanted them. During those early years I also went to music school, and spent a lot of time working with experimental electronic music. Think radio waves, primitive video game controllers, samplers, computers, etc... Now think of very, very small audiences.

Upon arriving in Seattle in '99, I landed a job for a few years working at Bear Creek Studio, and really got to dig in to making records. After leaving Bear Creek, I went out on my own and started Chroma Sound, which is the studio I co-run and do the vast majority of my work out of. While most of the work I do now is producing music recordings, all that experimental electronic music experience really comes in handy whenever I'm working with picture, as musical score and sound design continue to grow closer together.
